MANERELA+ is a voluntary membership network of religious leaders living with or personally affected by HIV and AIDS in Malawi. Its overall purpose is to reduce stigma, silence, denial, discrimination, inaction and miss-action (SSDDIM) with the faith community through the involvement of Religious Leaders living with or personally affected by HIV/AIDS as agents of change at both congregational and national level.
Why work with us
MANERELA+ recognizes that HIV and AIDS are not simply medical issues but it is a workplace issue as well, which threatens the economic stability and social welfare of its employees and their families and communities. MANERELA+ will promote a workplace environment that encourages and supports HIV and AIDS prevention, care, support and treatment for all employees.
Let's envision a Malawi nation where "SSDDIM" are defeated and new HIV infections controlled.
MANERELA+ endeavors to fight HIV and AIDS related stigma and discrimination within faith communities and promote rights of marginalized groups vulnerable to HIV infection and re-infection.
